Increase the alignment of health care education and training with employer needs – especially regarding shifting competencies, demand, and new models for delivering care.
ACTIONS
Conduct deeper exploration of changing competencies in occupational pathways through a series of cross system discussion (large health systems, clinics, public health, others) discussions on changing landscape of regional delivery systems and their impact on workforce demand, competencies, and training systems. Have educators in the room listening to that dialogue.
Hold convenings and a health workforce summit to reach agreement on priority training opportunities for retooling existing and building new training pathways to accommodate regional demand.
